Kandal Province, June 22, 2020 – Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, visited the construction site of the new Phnom Penh International Airport, located in Kandal Steung district, Kandal province.
Kandal Province, December 9, 2021 – Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, is honored an official visit to the construction site of the Techo International Airport located in Kandal Steung district, Kandal province, and Takhmao city.
Kandal Province, March 12, 2024 – Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, presided over a meeting and conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of the Techo International Airport, a 4F-class facility now under development.
On the morning of June 9, 2025, Samdech Preah Maha Somethadhipati Dr. Om Lim Heng, Supreme Patriarch and Head of the Mohanikaya of Cambodia, presided over the “Buddha Statue Consecration Ceremony” at Techo International Airport. This event marks the installation of a sacred Buddha statue at the airport as a spiritual symbol dedicated to the Nation, Religion, and King, and to serve as a meaningful place of reverence for both domestic and international travelers.
10 July 2025, Phnom Penh, Cambodia – Cambodia Airport Investment Co., Ltd. (CAIC), a subsidiary of Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC), has selected Cambodia Airports, a subsidiary of French-listed company VINCI (CAC 40: DG), to operate Phnom Penh's upcoming Techo International Airport (TIA). The agreement was signed by Pung Kheav Se, Chairman of CAIC and by Nicolas Notebaert, President of VINCI Airports.
