The flight departed from Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH) and landed smoothly on TIA’s 4-kilometer runway, marking a significant milestone in the airport’s operational readiness ahead of its official opening.

The trial was overseen by H.E. Mao Havannall, Minister in charge of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation of Cambodia, together with Oknha Charles Vann, Director of Cambodia Airport Investment Co., Ltd. (CAIC). The operation involved a comprehensive series of technical procedures and ground handling exercises, ensuring that safety, efficiency, and service standards are fully met.
“This successful trial flight demonstrates our strong progress in preparing Techo International Airport for commercial operations,” said representatives from CAIC.

Additional test flights with more airlines are scheduled for early September as part of the airport’s final readiness program. These efforts will pave the way for TIA to welcome its first passengers to Cambodia’s newest international gateway in the near future.
