On International Civil Aviation Day, Techo International Airport proudly joined aviation partners in celebrating Cambodia’s first National Civil Aviation Day. The ceremony was held under the honorable presence of H.E. Dr. Mao Havannal, Minister in Charge of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA), and Oknha Charles Vann, Director of Cambodia Airport Investment Co., Ltd. (CAIC).

The occasion offered a meaningful moment to reflect on the critical role of civil aviation in connecting people, contributing to economic development, and upholding the global standards established since the 1944 Chicago Convention. As Cambodia’s newest international gateway, Techo International Airport (KTI) stands aligned with this vision—working alongside the aviation community to promote safety, strengthen operational capacity, and support the nation’s long-term connectivity and growth.

In celebration of International Civil Aviation Day, the SSCA also organized a special highlight: the first-ever Runway Fun Run at the old Phnom Penh International Airport. We was honored to collaborate in this memorable event, which brought together runners, aviation enthusiasts, and families in a warm, energetic gathering to celebrate Cambodia’s aviation journey.

As the country moves toward a new chapter with KTI, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that unite the aviation community and recognize the dedicated people behind the sector’s continued advancement. With operations on the horizon, we look forward to contributing to the bright future of civil aviation in Cambodia.
